Our Workshops

All our workshops are designed to be as hands-on as possible to provide all participants an ample opportunity to learn and interact with the animals to foster empathy for the environment.

Packed full of fun facts about the Insects of Singapore our Beetle Buds Explorer Passport is here to track the progress of our little adventurers. With every complete workshop, participants will receive a stamp of accomplishment signifying their interaction with our local fauna.

Beetle Buddies Workshop

  • In this workshop participants will learn about the role of Rhinoceros Beetles in our ecosystem as they come face to face with Singapore’s own horned heroes

    Participants will have the opportunity to handle Beetle Larva and Rhino Beetles while they learn about the life cycle of our majestic friends.

Isopod Eco-Engineers

  • Take home your own perfectly balanced ecosystem with little isopod assistants who will help with maintainence as participants learn about the water and nutrient cycle

    Participants will learn about the water cycle and nutrient cycle and apply these concepts onto their very own Eco-Engineered Terrariums with 2 little isopods

Mantis Mambo

  • Dive right into the undergrowth of the Singaporean forests to see how Hunters and Hiders play a vital role in the ecosystem as they tread a fine line of balance

    Participants will learn about the adaptations from 3 species of mantis (Dead Leaf Mantis, Asian Giant Mantis, Flower Mantis) and how they have adapted to be the ultimate predators hiding our noses

Phasmid Phantoms

  • Appearances are deceiving up in the Singapore canopy. Witness how Stick and Leaf insect spend their entire lives hiding at every stage

    Participants will get to witness how phasmids camouflage at every stage of their lives from eggs, to mimicry as nymphs and camouflage as adults.
